Argentinean- American soprano Camila Lima has performed in Europe, Argentina and the United States, in venues such as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Carnegie Hall
Ms. Lima has starred in traditional, beloved operas such as Gounod’s Romeo and Juliette and Verdi’s Traviata, among many others; in contemporary operas such as Spanish composer Juan Colomer’s Dulcinea XL world premiere, performed at the Zipper Hall in Los Angeles; as well as in popular music venues such as the Día de los Muertos Festival at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Ms. Lima was thrice winner of the Beverly Hills National Audition and alternate First Prize winner of the New York Lyric Opera Competition.
As a child of the world herself, Camila sings from Rachmaninoff to Gardel with a heart that will ensure some tears and many sighs from her audience.
Camila currently lives in Burbank and performs with pianist and film composer, Ruy Folguera.
“Soprano Camila Lima, daughter of Metropolitan Opera tenor Luis Lima, was the featured artist. She is a major talent, possessed of a large, creamy and gorgeous soprano voice. She is the embodiment of the girl from Ipanema, tall and tan and young and lovely, with an effusive personality to match”.
